Ask your current licensing agency to send verification of your license directly to the Division; your application cannot be completed without it. Under Utah Code § 58-1-302 , the Division shall issue a license to an applicant licensed in another state, district, or territory of the United States if: the Division determines that the other license encompasses a similar scope of practice as the license sought in Utah; the applicant has at least one year of experience practicing under that license; AND the license is in good standing. If you do not meet all three conditions, the Division may still evaluate whether your education, credentialing examination, or experience is substantially similar to Utah’s requirements, and may issue a limited supervised training permit while that review is underway if you have an employment offer and will work under direct supervision. A fee applies, and you must produce satisfactory evidence of your identity, qualifications, and good standing.
