Noncommercial Registered Agent - this may be an individual who resides in South Dakota, or a business entity that is registered in South Dakota. OR Commercial Registered Agent - this is an agent/organization that has paid a registration fee and registered with the Secretary of State to be a commercial registered agent. OR Office Holder of the organization - this option does NOT apply to LLCs. This is an officer of the organization (President, Vice President, Secretary or Treasurer). This type of agent does not have a specific individual's name associated to the agent file and therefore does not require a statement of change with a change in officers.Official source
